More than 90% of all major problems with heating and air systems can be prevented or solved by servicing and cleaning the system before the extreme temperatures arrive (in summer and winter). Furthermore, preventative maintenance service allows qualified technicians to find dangerous leaks or hazards (further protecting your family). Also, repairs to your system are always more expensive if you wait for something to break before calling a repair contractor.WHAT YOU NEED TO AVOID
Many heating and air conditioning contractors have annual service plans that are tiered (i.e. Good, Better, Best; or Bronze, Silver, Platinum, etc.) However, these plans create the following 4 problems for the customer:- It doesn’t guarantee that the customer will receive priority emergency service. This is important—think about it—when you need emergency service it will more than likely be during the peak demand season (in summer or winter). Most companies will not respond quickly to your call since they are already busy on other calls. Furthermore, they typically don’t give priority to their existing customers on service plans since they already “have the customer.”
- The customer feels obligated to their service plan company (since they already paid for their service plan), and they are then forced to WAIT.
- Most service plans still force the customer to pay additional fees (diagnostic fees, rush fees, and overtime fees).
